Malachor: I am Malachor and I am here. I am grateful for the opportunity to speak, and there is much to say.
If you have a garage for which the purpose is to put your car, but your garage is so full of all the other things that you keep there that there is no room for your car, would you not remove some of the things to make room for the car?
And so if your mind is meant to house the impressions of your soul, but it is so full of other things that there is no room for your soul’s impressions there, would you not remove some of the things to make room?
When the junk is removed, the car can come in, the car can go out, there is room for movement around the car, there is room to wash the car, there is room to open the door and close the door, and the car will take you where you want to go.
It is more difficult to remove your own junk, in a sense, for you have to see it to be able to remove it, and often, with human beings, you are remarkably adaptable so that when you walk into your garage you step over the broken bicycle, and around the pile of three boxes, and across the sawdust, and under the hanging wire, without seeing any of it.
So, in removing your own junk, the trick is first to see it. What is the junk in my garage? If the entrance to your garage was your left ear, and the exit was your right ear, what would you encounter in trying to get from one side to the other? Just ask yourself. It’s fun. Ah, there’s that belief about my mother that I must step over, and there’s that pile of experiences that I have stacked as evidence of my incompetence that I must go around, and there is the distraction of my website colour scheme hanging from the ceiling, that I must avoid, all to get to my right ear. You see? Do that exercise. Have fun.
It is good to have the feeling of zipping around in your car, which, as we remember, is a metaphor for your soul’s awareness’s and desires. So it is good to have that feeling. But it is also good to have the feeling of a clean garage where you can bring your car and drive it out again at your choosing.
